Antonio Vesco is a post-doctoral research fellow at AUTH, within Heteropolitics project. He is currently engaged in an ethnographic research on political participation processes, commons practices and relations between local institutions and social movements in three Italian cities: Turin, Naples and Bologna. He completed his PhD thesis in Anthropology (University of Siena) and Political Sciences (University of Paris 1 Sorbonne). His research interests also include political parties, political corruption, and the interconnections between mafia organisations and local political and economic systems. His research in the field has been conducted mainly in Sicily and the Veneto.
